Earth Day Extravaganza

Hello Everyone, I had such a great opportunity this past week to attend a tree planting at Linn Benton Community College. The college held this tree planting as a way to celebrate earth day, and used the event as a way to encourage people to plant the trees they were giving away. While the actual tree planting ceremony left a little to be desired in attendance, overall the attendance of the tree give away were great!  Lisa Avery, President of Linn Benton Community College(Left), and Amy Burbee, Cooperative Work Experience Office(Right), planting Earth Day 2023 celebratory doug fir.   Lisa Avery, President of Linn Benton Community College, placing the final touches on the celebratory tree.      Hello Everyone, welcome to my week two blog post for my Intro to Photojournalism class. I think I'm starting to get a better handle not only on the idea of how to take good photos, but also the way I need to change my perspective on life. This week was a really great experience for me inside and outside the classroom. On Wednesday this week I got to attend two great event's on Linn Benton Community College(LBCC) campus. The first event I was lucky enough to attend was Coffee and Conversation. This is an event put on by LBCC to encourage students and faculty to engage in conversation about a number of topics.  This photo depicts both faculty and students engaging in conversation.          The second great event I got to attend on Wednesday this week was the blood drive being conducted by Red Cross on LBCC campus. This event allows students who may not know how to donate blood to not only donate blood, but can also gain great information o...

About Me!

Hello Everyone,  Welcome to my first ever blog post! This is a very new and confusing experience for me because I've never had to write a blog before, and truth be told my head has been spinning for the past week thinking about what I would write. Then it hit me like a slap in the face, you all have no idea who I am, so for this first blog post I will share a little bit about myself. My name is Clayton and I'm currently what you would describe as a sophomore at Linn Benton Community College. I am perusing a Associate Art of Oregon Transfer Degree(AAOT) with a focus in criminal justice. Now just because someone is a criminal justice major does not mean they don't have any photography experience, but that isn't true for my case. This lack of experience is what make me so nervous to take part in the Intro to Photojournalism class. However, that is exactly why I wanted to take the class. I wanted to push myself past my comfort zone because the only place you can learn anyt...
